Crypto

Crypto data (asset class crypto) covers exchange spot pairs with their quotes and UTC daily bars, one asset's market row, and the crypto market views. A pair is a spot market on an exchange, spelled base-quote (BTC-USDT); an asset is one coin (BTC).

Prices of a pair are in its quote currency: USDT is not USD.

Pair quotes

A pair's quote is in the quote shape with quote_kind: exchange_quote. It carries the last price with the exchange's rolling 24-hour change, range, base-asset volume, and quote-currency turnover (day.kind: rolling_24h), and the best bid and ask.

Assets

GET /v1/crypto/assets/{asset} serves one asset's row of the top-250 crypto asset list, ranked by market capitalization: price, 24-hour change and range, market cap and rank, supply, and all-time high and low. An asset row is cross-venue market data, not a quote; the tradable is a pair.

An asset's id is the Tauric API's own stable id: crypto_asset: and an opaque token. It does not change with the asset's ticker, name, or rank, and the path takes it whole or its token alone. symbol and name are labels; only the id identifies the asset. asset is the id, or a ticker or name that exactly one listed asset has.

Row fields

A row's prices and market cap are in currency (USD); its supply fields count units of the asset. A null in these fields says why in field_states.

change is the change over a rolling 24 hours (the 24-hour open is price − change). change is served to 8 significant figures and change_percent to 4 decimal places.

Daily bars

A pair's /history is its exchange's UTC daily bars, for 20 major USDT pairs; GET /v1/datasets/crypto.history lists them in serves.members. Another listed pair is 404 not_maintained; its quote is still served.

history and windowdepth, window size, and paging as on price history (coverage.available_from is the pair's first day); a day is served after it ends

Settlement follows price history.

A day with no trades is a bar with null prices and volume 0 (confirmed_absent). A day with no data is not served, and coverage.pending_session names the first such day (price history).

Crypto views

GET /v1/markets/crypto/assets lists the same top-250 rows as assets, market cap descending, with each row's id.

GET /v1/markets/crypto/global serves cross-venue totals dated by freshness.refreshed_at: total market cap, BTC dominance, the top-5 dominance, and active coins. total_market_cap is in US dollars. btc_dominance and the dominance map are shares of total_market_cap in percent (changes and percents): "btc_dominance": 59.56 is 59.56%. dominance holds the five largest assets, keyed by ticker, rounded to 2 decimal places.

Each asset's 24-hour change and volume are on GET /v1/markets/crypto/assets.
