Insider transactions
GET /v1/securities/{symbol}/insider-transactions serves what the issuer's directors, officers, and 10% owners
reported on SEC Form 4 and its amendments (4/A), as filed. Each row is one reported trade or holding; rows are never
netted, summed, or labeled as buying or selling.

data, the rows, newest first (a holding line by its filing's period of report);filings: each filing on the page once, by accession, with its acceptance time, its reporting owners and their relationship to the issuer, its footnotes verbatim, and its Rule 10b5-1 check mark.
Each row cites its footnotes by field (footnotes).
Codes and amounts
code is the Form 4 transaction code, and code_meaning is the form's own definition. Only P
and S are open-market or private purchases and sales; an award (A), a tax withholding (F), an option exercise
(M) or a gift (G) is not. A code is the filer's choice: a sell-to-cover can be filed as S.
Amounts are as filed, exact: shares, price, owned_following. A security the form counts in dollars rather than
shares (a note, some deferred-compensation units) has total_value and owned_following_value
instead. timeliness is the filer's E (early) or L (late) mark.
Filters
kind is transaction (default), holding (a line reporting ownership with no transaction) or all. The filters
are start and end (dates), code (a csv) and owner_cik. limit and after page the rows (lists).
known_at (timezone-aware, not in the future) serves the filings accepted at or before it, and
known_at_uncertain lists the filings whose acceptance time is unverified and close to that instant, with selected
saying whether each is inside the answer. coverage.through and coverage.not_yet_served are then as of that
instant; the covered window (coverage.from, complete_after, requested_before_window) is always measured back
from now. See Point in time.
Amendments
An amendment (4/A) carries only the lines it adds or amends; its footnotes say which. Its rows are served beside the original's and never merged, so summing an original and its amendment can count an amended line twice.
amendment.date_of_original_submission is the date the amendment states. amendment_candidates names the filings it
may refer to, and an original filing lists the amendments that may amend it; the link is not resolved.
Coverage
| field | meaning |
|---|---|
from | the start of the window served: the newest 12 months of filings, then forward |
through | the acceptance time of the newest filing served |
complete_after | every Form 4 the filings index lists for the issuer accepted after this instant is served. Before it, "no transactions" means unknown. Null means the whole window is served |
not_yet_served | the issuer's Form 4 filings inside the window (and at or before known_at) not in this answer yet |
requested_before_window | start asks for dates before from: nothing earlier is served |
through can trail the newest Form 4 on the SEC's site.
Missing values and refusals
- A field the filing does not state, or states only in a footnote, is null with
not_published; readfootnotes. - A code outside the form's code list is served as filed, with
unconfirmed. - A security whose issuer has no linked SEC registrant answers
404 not_supported, and itsdatasetsdo not list this one.
